Kenvue Wildlife Habitat Council Initiative - Guelph, ON

Refining naturalization efforts to benefit pollinators and avian species.

The Guelph manufacturing site of Kenvue (formerly Johnson & Johnson Inc.) has a long-standing history of supporting tree planting and naturalization efforts throughout the community and their 22-hectare facility in north Guelph. Aboud & Associates was retained to support the application to achieve a Wildlife Habitat Council certification for pollinator and avian species.

Our Ecologists and Certified Ecosystem Restoration Practitioner in training, completed baseline vegetation, breeding birds, terrestrial communities, and pollinator studies and will continue to monitor the site annually to analyze and identify how targeted naturalization efforts implemented have improved the site for pollinators and native species of birds. Naturalization efforts implemented to date include pollinator specific native meadow overseeding, planting native trees and shrubs, and implementation of bee habitat features such as small water features with rocks, and brush piles for nesting structures.
