Shannon has detailed knowledge of environmental concepts and the natural evolution of ecological landscapes. Shannon completed a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of Waterloo, as well as a post-graduate certificate in Ecosystem Restoration from Niagara College and is currently a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner In-training with the Society for Ecological Restoration. Shannon has over a decade of experience in the public and private sector.

Shannon specializes in terrestrial and wetland ecosystems and is well-versed in conducting numerous ecological studies including Environmental Land Classification, wetland limit delineations and evaluations using the Ontario Wetland Evaluation System, botanical and species-at-risk inventories and wildlife surveys (amphibians and mammals).

Shannon contributes her data analysis, GIS and report compilation skills to projects of varying scales including municipal Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Studies for property severances and infrastructure replacement, and wetland evaluations. Her expertise in Ecological Restoration has allowed her to complete Restoration Strategies and achieve Wildlife Habitat Council Certifications for clients.
