James is an arborist with 10 years of arboricultural experience. From single tree studies to municipal inventories, he approaches each project with a commitment to understanding the scope of work, being thorough with collecting information, communicating findings and recommendations clearly, and serving his clients fully. At different stages throughout his career, James has been intimately involved in the production, protection and preservation of trees, drawing on – and adding to – that broad range of knowledge and experience in managing the arboricultural projects at Aboud & Associates.

Partner . Landscape Architecture Lead

Marc is a Landscape Architect with over 20 years of construction and consulting experience in the public and private sectors and is an Adjunct Faculty in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, at the University of Guelph. From day cares to retirement communities, wetlands to green roofs, and walking trails to arterial road streetscapes he creates inspired landscapes that blend traditional and ecological design principles, supported by a practical knowledge of landscape construction methods. Marc manages all aspects of design, approvals, contract administration and post-occupancy stewardship for landscape architecture and ecological restoration based projects at Aboud & Associates. .

Denise Sharp . Partner . Business Manager 
Denise brings over 20 years of administration, business management and accounting experience in retail, consulting, and federal government agencies. Denise is responsible for office management, accounts management, administration records, government programs, preparing proposals, and researching policy and background project information. Cheryl-Anne Ross Fish and Wildlife Technologist Dip., B.Sc.
Ecology Lead . ISA Certifed Arborist

Cheryl-Anne Ross has a comprehensive understanding of the natural environment and the tools that are used to evaluate it. Cheryl-Anne completed her Undergraduate degree in NREM-Wildlife and Fisheries Biology at the University of Northern British Columbia, has a Technical Diploma in Fish and Wildlife Technology from Sir Sandford Fleming College and a decade of experience in the public and private sectors. In addition to working as a Natural Heritage Educator at provincial parks, her professional experience includes working on residential and industrial development and renewable energy projects throughout Ontario. Cheryl-Anne conducts a broad range of natural heritage inventory and assessments including botanical inventories, ELC, species at risk reports, environmental assessments, environmental impact statements, and monitoring for wildlife (avian, herptiles and mammals) and wildlife habitat.

Landscape Designer

Jay has over 15 years of experience in the areas of urban design, regional master planning, environmental management, ecological restoration, site planning, and recreation and trail design, with projects varying in scale and complexity. He also has experience with various forms of community consultation and public workshops, field investigations and visual assessments, working with leaders in the green energy industry. Jay strives to incorporate ecological principles into all his work, whether the final deliverables are reports, guidelines or landscape designs, while meeting the needs of the client.

Nicole Huculiak, BLA

Nicole has a solid sense of design accompanied by her skills and knowledge gained from working in both the planning and horticultural fields. Nicole’s professional expertise is rooted in understanding of people and how they interact with their environment. Incorporating her landscape design background with her knowledge of arboriculture allows her to create aesthetically pleasing and environmentally sustainable designs. She is currently pursuing full accreditation in the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects through the Professional Development Program..

Shannon Davison B.Env. Eco. Rest. Cert.
Ecologist

Shannon has detailed knowledge of environmental concepts and the natural evolution of ecological landscapes. Shannon completed a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of Waterloo, as well as a post-graduate certificate in Ecosystem Restoration from Niagara College. She has had the opportunity to work with a number of environmental organizations, where her strong field skills have been applied to many projects including ecological land classifications, wetland evaluations, botanical and species at risk inventories as well as invasive species removal throughout south-western Ontario.

Kristen has a strong background in forestry and conservation. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto in the Master's of Forest Conservation program, holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Ecosystem Restoration from Niagara College and an undergraduate degree in Honours Biology from McMaster University. Kristen is passionate about all aspects of forestry, with particular interest in trees and the urban landscape. She has a broad background of planning in stewardship, volunteering and public involvement in conservation and forestry.

Landscape Architect

Shannon’s design sensibilities are informed by engaging the dynamic relationship between urban and natural environments. She holds a degree in Environmental Studies with emphasis in Ecological Restoration & Rehabilitation from the University of Waterloo, a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of British Columbia and has experience with non-profit school ground and public space work as a design associate with Evergreen. Experienced in facilitating community and school ground design charrettes and workshops, Shannon develops cohesive visions and comprehensive long-term solutions with individuals, reviewing agencies and community members using principles of sustainable urban design, ecological restoration, bioregionalism and urban agriculture.

With a strong knowledge of invasive species, insect biology and tree ecology, Dan has over 10 years of experience in the private and public sector. Dan’s professional experience includes working on the Asian Long-Horned Beetle Project, West Nile virus monitoring, removing invasive trees and shrubs, as well as tree planting, Sea Lamprey control, benthic monitoring and insect identification.
